Energy audits provide owners with a comprehensive understanding of building energy use. The purpose of energy auditing is to understand the opportunities to reduce energy consumption & cost. As experts in the sustainable operation of existing buildings, our staff members are skilled at meticulously analyzing no-cost and low-cost operational improvements and capital retrofits for HVAC systems and controls, building envelopes and lighting systems and controls.

Our experienced team of Certified Energy Managers and Certified Energy Auditors, have carried out audits for ranging from ASHRAE Level I site walks to the most sophisticated investment grade audits, backed by whole-building energy modeling and measurement and verification studies.

Our energy audits also serve as a solid foundation for pursuing LEED Existing Building and ENERGY STAR certification.

Measurement and Verification (M&V) is a formal, systematic process for determining the functional and energy saving performance of a building’s energy-using systems.

Our in house team of Certified Measurement and Verification Professionals (CMVP), Certified Energy Managers (CEM) and Certified Energy Auditors (CEA), are experts in developing and implementing M&V plans in support of performance contracting, energy efficiency and demand-side management programs and for projects pursuing green building certifications including LEED rating system. The M&V procedures we use include site inspections, interviews with facility personnel and operations contractors, detailed energy modeling and short to long-term monitoring of selected system components and sub-systems. The industry accepted International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP) is used as a framework for these services, and a customized M&V plan is developed according to the most appropriate IPVMP option.
